My personal pain journey began in 2005, when I was diagnosed with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. It literally stopped me in my tracks. My body was frozen in agony for 6 years, while my mind was filled with frustration, anger and resentment. Like so many others who deal with chronic pain, I was angry!
Why did this happen to me????
I was caught in an agonizing mental and physical pain cycle, and honestly...I’m not sure that I would even be here today, if I hadn’t discovered the art of conscious movement, and the tools to clear out the state of pain within my body, mind and soul. I asked myself,
“If you can believe in your limitations, then why not believe in the power of the beauty and life that is flowing through you?”
Instead of hating my body and letting my spirit fill up with resentment and anger, I discovered a gentle movement practice called The Nia Technique and, again, found gratitude and love. After my first class was over, I ran up to the instructor and asked her,
“How can I learn this? I need to help people!”
For the first time in years I felt hope!
And, movement became BLISS not pain.
That is why I’m so grateful that you have decided to explore gentle movement as a way to increase strength, relieve tension, and reduce stress and pain throughout your body from the comfort of home.
Because I know, on a deeply personal level, just how seriously chronic pain can affect our minds, bodies and spirits, I want to congratulate you for taking a step in the right direction.
You are so much more than your pain!

“My greatest joy is witnessing the “a-ha”moment people experience after a Nia®, Ageless Grace® or Moving Meditation class. People may come to class feeling tired, anxious, or overwhelmed and they leave feeling refreshed and energized. I’ve seen people literally change their lives because they found their voice through movement. I personally changed my life from a career that no longer fit to living my passion and helping others to shine from the inside out.”
