Is this for me?
Movement is natural medicine.
When people experience the freedom in their body that happens with mind-body practice, they realize that aging can and should feel good!
I found “movement medicine” through autoimmune illness and my mission is to share what I've learned. My clients are teachers, CEOs, attorneys, pharmacists, nurses, psychotherapists, massage therapists, artists, retirees, and the list goes on, ages 55+.
“For someone who had lacked the self-confidence and desire for trying something new, the Nia Meditation was a night of being able to explore my own path. It was the first time I moved without anybody’s disapproval or criticism. Thank you for allowing me to grow!”
Our bodies hold “issues in our tissues” from past experiences and traumas that can affect our physical, mental, and emotional health. Mindful movement is a way to address our whole being.
You deserve to live your life and pain does not have to be the end of your story.
My movement story began as an adult with Rheumatoid Arthritis, which caused excruciating inflammation in my joints. It left me on the couch sleeping away the days on pain medication for years. During this time, I found a dance movement practice called Nia®. This was my way back to healing. I loved dance as a child, and this practice was a way that could be tailored for my adult body in pain. Slowly but surely, I returned to feeling like myself again.
If you’re also in pain, or you simply want to find a way to move your body that feels good for where you are in life now, I invite you to sign up for a class. You can also set up a 30-minute free movement consultation to see what movement might be best for you at this time.
