Returning to Peace: A somatic dance of reflection, play and pause

This dance is an invitation to slow down and move in a way that feels natural and healing.

You will be guided through the art of the Nia® Technique with simple steps and guided freestyle movement. The variety of musical genres will inspire you to explore different ways to move, releasing self-judgment and discovering your authentic self-expression in a sacred, welcoming space.

All you need to bring is curiosity and an open heart to be guided on this movement journey, The intention is for you to leave feeling refreshed, grounded and peaceful . . .

  • Shedding tension and tightness

  • Finding balance in your body’s natural rhythms

  • Breathing, pausing, and becoming more present with yourself

This dance is open to all adults who love to move! No dance experience needed.

Wear comfortable, layered clothing that makes you feel good. You are encouraged to dance barefoot but you can also wear “sticky socks” or a soft dance shoe, if needed.

Dancing with Resilience: A Somatic Journey of Strength and Grace

Our bodies hold stories of strength, adaptability, and renewal. In this moving experience, we will explore how physical sensation—strength, agility, flexibility, mobility and stillness—can help us reconnect to our inner resilience.

Through music, mindful movement, play and conversation, we will cultivate a grounded sense of ease together, rediscovering the natural resilience that allows us to move through challenging times with strength and grace. Enjoy moving with the healing arts of the Nia® mind body practice and a blend of moving meditation. No dance experience necessary!
